Gallery of Our Sensory Classes for Babies

Welcome to our sensory gallery, where you can check out what we get up to in our sensory development classes for babies in Batley, Cleckheaton, Ossett, and Mirfield. Our sensory baby sessions are designed to stimulate your little one’s curiosity and encourage their development.

Backdrops in Every Sensory Baby Class

Did you know that we have a different theme each week? In each theme, we have a professional photo backdrop set-up, meaning you can capture precious memories of your baby for your baby scrapbooks and photo albums.

Let’s face it: paying for photoshoots can get pretty expensive, especially when you consider that many of us have amazing cameras built into our smartphones. Week in week out, you’ll get access to the most dazzling backdrops and props.

“The backdrops for photo opportunities are brilliant. Thanks, Maisie, for helping to create some great memories.” – Rachel

“A different theme each week. Lots of sensory activities and toys with a gorge backdrop to take cute pics.” – Francesca

“Amazing photo backdrop in every class, and I have so many precious memories to look back on.” – Jayne

Free Play: Every Activity Designed to Stimulate

Our sensory sessions follow a rest-play cycle to support your baby and keep them engaged. During the free-play section of the class, little ones explore the various multi-sensory stations. Like our backdrops, these change every week to coincide with the theme, which keeps things engaging for your baby. No improvisation required: we have more resources than you can shake a shiny, sparkly sensory stick at.

Unstructured play is essential for babies and young children as it allows them to explore, experiment, and learn about the world around them at their own pace and in their own way. Through play, babies develop cognitive, motor, and social skills, as well as emotional regulation, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.

Free play provides opportunities for babies to use their imagination, develop curiosity, and engage in self-directed learning. These are all crucial for healthy development and well-being in your child’s early years.

“No session is the same, and the themes and resources are incredible.” – Eve

“So many different activities and resources in each week’s theme to give the babies endless fun.” – Danielle

“The themes each week are brilliant. Very well resourced and there are so many sensory experiences to enjoy.” – Yasamin

Lights and Sensory Play

Not only mesmerising and dazzling, sensory lights provide visual stimulation that supports your child’s cognitive and physical development. Specifically, sensory lights help with:

Visual development: Babies are born with an immature visual system that takes time to develop. Sensory lights can provide high-contrast visual stimulation that helps babies develop their visual abilities, including their ability to track objects with their eyes.

Calming: Sensory lights provide a calming effect for babies, especially if they are feeling fussy or overstimulated. The soft, gentle glow of a sensory light can help create a soothing atmosphere that promotes relaxation and helps babies fall asleep.

Learning: Sensory lights are a fun and engaging way for babies to learn about cause and effect. Many sensory lights have different settings and features that can be activated by pressing buttons or shaking. This, in turn, helps babies develop their fine motor skills and cognitive abilities.

Bonding: Sensory lights are a great way for new parents to bond with their babies. Holding and playing with a sensory light can provide a shared experience that can help strengthen the parent-child relationship.

Baby Smiles All Round in Every Session

Studies have shown that babies who engage in regular recreational play are more likely to be happy, healthy, and emotionally resilient, which highlights the importance of providing opportunities for this type of play in their daily routines.

During our sensory play classes, babies engage in enjoyable activities, often without a specific goal or purpose. This allows babies to explore their environment, learn new skills, and express their emotions in a safe and nurturing environment.

Bonding Time for You and Baby

You spend a lot of time with your baby, but are you spending meaningful, quality time with them? Attending sensory baby classes is one the best ways to spend quality time your your baby. Spending quality time has several benefits that positively impact your child’s development and well-being. Some of them include:

Bonding and attachment: Spending time with your baby strengthens the bond and attachment between parent and child. This is essential for their social and emotional development, as it establishes a sense of security and trust that allows babies to explore and learn with confidence.

Cognitive development: Engaging with your baby through play, reading, and talking promotes their cognitive development. These interactions stimulate their brain development, enhance their memory, and improve their language skills.

Motor development: Playing with your baby, such as tummy time and playing with toys, helps to develop their motor skills. This includes their hand-eye coordination, balance, and spatial awareness.

Emotional regulation: Spending quality time with your baby helps them learn to regulate their emotions. By providing a safe and nurturing environment, parents can teach babies how to manage their feelings and cope with stress.

Social development: Spending time with your baby promotes their social development through interaction and communication. This includes how to take turns, share, and communicate their needs and wants.

Spending quality time with your baby builds a strong foundation for their future health and well-being and provides opportunities for parents to create meaningful and positive memories with their little one.
